Step by step instructions

  1. Slide a knife around the ripe avocado and gently halve it. Be careful not to grip the fruit too hard, which will bruise it.
  2. Using the heel of the knife, gently knock the stone and ease this from the flesh.
  3. Cut the avocado into 2cm / 0.79inch-thick wedges and carefully pull away the skin with your fingers.
  4. Now, place the peeled avocado cut side down on the board and cut into fine cubes.
