Description

Tropical fruit is summer on a plate. It is important that the fruit is ripe. A ripe pineapple smells sweet and the leaves can be easily pulled out of the crown. For melons, you need to listen to how they sound. The more hollow they sound when tapped, the riper they are.

Step by step instructions

  1. Using the serrated utility knife, cut the crown off the pineapple. Then slice off the other end.
  2. Then, place the pineapple upright on the board and remove the outer peel in even, sawing motions. Remove any brown spots.
  3. Now, halve the pineapple and quarter it. Use the knife to remove the hard core.
  4. Cut the pineapple into bite-sized pieces. Remember to use the claw grip.
