Description

We recommend storing your knives and utensils in a suitable knife block, a magnetic knife rack or another dry place to prevent the blades knocking against each other. The knife block should have horizontal slots and enough space to protect the knife blades and prevent them going dull when put in and taken out. Alternatively, you can use a knife block with magnetic strips for quick and easy access to your knives. Storing the knives loose in a drawer is not a perfect solution, but if you choose this method, you need to ensure that the blades are not touching due to, for instance, the use of blade guards. Alternatively, you can build suitably sized compartments for each knife into the drawer.

A blade guard is important to both protect the knife and prevent you from injuring yourself. It is also perfect for storing and easily transporting a knife. When moving the knives from one place to another, there are special chef's sets and roll bags in which knives and utensils can be safely kept and transported. Professional chefs keep their utensils in such a case so that they're always ready to go!
