Step by step instructions

  1. Use one hand to fix the celery to the cutting board, and with the knife in your other hand, cut off the root end.
  2. Peel the celery stick with the vegetable peeler.
  3. Using a small paring knife, pull the strings out of the celery by placing the knife on the top and gently easing the tough strings up and back.
  4. Then, place the celery sticks curved side up on the board and cut into slices of about 3mm / 0.12inch.
